Decades of Drying Power: Agridry’s Predator Never Quits!

At Agridry, we pride ourselves on helping our customers optimise their grain drying operations. Recently, we had the opportunity to refurbish and upgrade a Predator Mobile Dryer for customer who wanted to enhance its capacity and performance.

The customer initially brought their Predator back in late 1990’s, and after years of successful operation, seeking to increase its drying capacity. Previously, the dryer had been processing between to 1-2% but they aimed to push it to a comfortable 2%. After a consultation with the Agridry team, we developed a customised plan to achieve their goals.

To improve overall efficiency, we implemented several key modifications:

• Outload and Belly Auger Upgrades: The outload auger capacity was increased to 80t per hour, reducing unload time from 45 minutes to just 20 minutes.
• Burner Bale Relocation: The burner bale was moved from the old existing position to a new position, allowing better airflow throughout the grain. This modification resulted in more efficient and effective drying.
• Roof Upgrade: A new, secure roof cover was installed, increasing the dryer’s overall capacity, ensuring the customer could operate in any weather conditions with confidence.

The upgraded Predator has now been tailored to meet the customer’s specific needs. With faster unloading, improved drying efficiency, and enhanced capacity, the customer was thrilled with the results.
